Medical marijuana measure Approved for Arkansas ballot in November.2012

Arkansans with qualifying conditions to purchase marijuana from non-profit dispensaries with a doctor's recommendation. Qualifying conditions include cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS and Alzheimer's disease.

Medical marijuana measure OK'd for Arkansas ballot in November.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A proposal to legalize medical marijuana has been approved for the November ballot in Arkansas. The secretary of state's office on Wednesday said that Arkansans for Compassionate Care had turned in enough signatures to qualify the proposed initiated act for the November ballot. The proposal needed at least 62,507 signatures from registered voters to qualify. The group fell short in the number of signatures needed last month, but it was given additional time to circulate petitions. The proposal would allow Arkansans with qualifying conditions to purchase marijuana from non-profit dispensaries with a doctor's recommendation. Qualifying conditions include cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS and Alzheimer's disease. The proposal acknowledges that marijuana is illegal under federal
Guidelines.

"So I say today I will set you "Free".

Sorrow is in my soul, It has hit the core of me.This hurt full emotion has taken a hold of me.I beg of it to leave but it doesn't hear me and refuses to go.
I need to feel free from this terrible vengeful disease, but it keeps
hanging on the pain is draining
me slow.

It digs deep into our hearts and souls, changing who we are.
It can be the worst "Beast" alive.
It's not afraid to dig at our emotions to break us down to nothing.

I will set you free from me, For I deserved to cry, love, and feel anger. I refuse to let you live inside of me and tear me down to nothing.I refuse to give in, I am a fighter, Yes it's hard because you hold on not wanting to let go.I need you to know, you will not control me or who I will become.
"So I say today I will set you "Free"

Cancer is my Name.

In dedication to my Mother,
Patricia Ann Brandon.
My Aunt, Shirley Lash
My brother in-law, Red Baty

I also dedicate this to all who have suffered under this nasty disease. For those who continue to. I want you to know you did not suffer alone, we as family have been by your side.
We will continue to fight this disease.
In hopes one day for a cure, to honor in there names, Of the ones we
Loved so dear.

Constant pain consumes my life.
I'm to afraid to go under the knife.I resist my fear for wanting to live.Only to induce the pain that it gives.Still i wonder through a quick demise.Should i choose to live with this disguise.

For time and strength it's not on my side.So i read through the knowledge the world tries to hide.
My life it's tells me to try and be strong. It seems so hard because i don't have long.

I'm trying to avoid the one called the Reaper, and all of his friends they call his hidden keepers.
Now my cries they cry with such pain, because my mind has gone insane. For death has followed me in such a short time. This disease it has us all in a line. For death it now follows me to the end.It came from nowhere and sucked me within.

I want you to know you did not suffer alone, we as family have been by your side.We will continue to fight this disease. In hopes one day for a cure,
to honor in the names. Of the ones we Loved so dear.

Hope

This is dedicated to all the people who,
are afflicted by- Cancer, Pain, and all the disease's
that effect us daily. and your never alone.

We often hide this word tightly in our minds.
As with life we all will struggle.
Some we can overcome some will still linger.
I know it overwhelms us all,
But please continue to have hope.
Hope can be magical when you truly believe in it.
I know that it keeps us strong,
 in giving and recieving hope.
So the next time you feel there is no way out.
Close your eyes and say this 4- Letter word.
Hope- because this is what it's all about.
Reach out we are the little hands,
that offer you, Hope- Love- Faith

I've Got a Secret

If i came to you with a secret , What would you do?.
Yes i have Cancer or maybe im Gay.
Ive been sleeping around on my husband i have
been since mid May. Maybe i just want to tell you
i will kill myself Today. Now that ive told you my secret
who will you tell ? and what will you do ?.
Would you tell my Husband of 15 years Married.
Maybe his wife that is bed ridden with a disease.
Would you tell my Son and Daughter the truth.
That the secret i told you was meant for me and you.
I was hurting inside and wanted to die because
i told my Friends secret and found out it they
were just Lies.
Now if these are true and i only told you , now
tell me my best Friend What will you Do ?.
How can we expect others to keep our secret
if we have not been able to keep it to ourselves.
I believe if the secret means Death and your there
to console, the secret should be told to our Families
thats Close.
