While the majority of domestic violence victims are women, abuse of men happens far more often than you’d probably expect. Typically, men are physically stronger than women and to embarrass to admit there being abused.  Men are also abused especially verbally, physically and emotionally. 

It doesn’t necessarily make it easier for men to escape the violence or the relationship. An abused man faces a shortage of resources, skepticism from police, and major legal obstacles.

No matter your age, occupation, or sexual orientation, though, you can overcome these challenges and escape the abuse. It still makes you feel weak and defeated and the answer is not to strike back. The answer should be to try and get help for the abuser and the family if its trying to save the relationship.

Please remember if it hurts you!!! It hurts them.

The Monster that touches me.

Please if you know a child's be abused, Take the time to stop and help. If your a mother or father love your child and let them know you are there protector.

I sit on the bed Shivering from the pain. Because here in my home lives a Monster with a Name. I keep telling Mommy please don't leave me alone, because the monster he touches me lives in our Home.

I want to tell someone can you help me please i'm just a small child and the pain it doesn't ease.This Monster it tells me to stay on my knees. Come home my dear Mommy, and stop this Monster who keeps hurting me.There is no stoping so i know of one thing to do.

I find a Gun that is loaded to hide under my bed. I'm wait for the Monster to enter my Room. I pull it out as i'm on my knees, Killing the Monster that keeps hurting me.

I lift myself up from under the bed looking to see if the Monster is Dead. Look mommy this is the Monster I want you to see. He can no longer touch or hurt me. See Mommy I'm no longer afraid of being alone I had to protect myself because you we're never home.

I feel a breeze as it touches my skin. I hear the chimes as the music begins. Like day and night, you change like the wind.
Always breaking my heart, i still wont give in. My outside is weak, but my soul remains strong. I want to love him, even though it feels wrong.

The man that i loved was soft and caring. His soul is a ghost, that stops him from sharing. So lost and confused, he chooses to abuse, For I will not give in nor will it be excused. I believe in my heart, He has lost his way. The man that i love, is hiding inside a ghost everyday. Deep in my heart it hurts me so. I fight so hard not to let him win, Because the man that i love can't,
"Erase the evil Ghost within".

Please watch this video, It's sad because now there listening after her death. Years of being bullied. The School beatings the teens recorded but no one stopped to help. It was not as common as today.

I am disgusted with the way girls and boys, Men and women, Moms & Dads, even Teachers use bullying in there very own lives and in school and never notice. Remember when you tell your daughter, If you keep eating like that you going to be a fat pig look at you now your ugly. Or son, grow up if you keep acting like a sissy no women will want or love you.

We all know there's heavy peer pressure at School, Sitting alone at the lunch table because your clothes don't match.Teacher puts you in the very back of classroom because your
"Slow" and the kids and Teachers think
that your stupid and you waste there time. The Coach won't let you play sports because you can't catch a Football.The Choir Teacher doesn't take you to Competitions because
you can't sing very good and they don't
want the School to be embarrassed.

The Value of a Dollar

Its sad to say that the amount on a dollar has no value anymore.I know i was very disappointed to learn that if a family of 5 makes $1.00 over $2150.00 they are not allowed to receive Snap better know as Foodstamps to us.
Well i know a Family of 5 and she and her husband both work to pay the bills and to put food on there table.There Gross pay is $298.00 each before taxes. So the amount they have to turn in to DHS office is $596.00 a week which is times by 4.5 weeks = $2682.00. Now the catch they own there home, They still have house ins.All utilities and Property taxes, Real estate taxes. They only own one car to save on money. The oldest babysits to save on money. Now they added up there bills and they still made to much to apply for Foodstamps.
Now it gets worse they attend Walnut Ridge School and they raised there lunches again. Now its $1.75 per child that dont meet low income guidelines. So even if they get reduced meals the cost is still $4.50 for the 5 children which still is $18.00 a week, and $81.00 a Month. Now you tell me How fair is our Goverment and our faith in the 1$ bill.

Never say you can't If your not willing to "Try".

Can't doesn't mean it's not there, if you don't see it try looking. Can't doesn't mean stop trying and give up.
Can't doesn't mean to keep letting others do it for you.

My Mom had a saying for us kids. Can't isn't a word it just means your to "Lazy" to get up and "Try".

I believe that if we give more encouragement, Take the time
to help if they ask, but don't do
it for them.Yes life is a "Challenge" but if we don't try then why except the challenge.

No one can tell you how to live your life. So if you choose to be "Dependent" on others in life. If your lazy and never try on your own,
Then don't assume the worlds
against you and no one "Loves"
you.A person can keep giving to you,
and continue to do it for you, Then I ask? what's your purpose.

You need to choose your, "Challenges" and your "Dreams" because they yours.That's what makes us "Unique"
We excepted the "Challenge"
We accomplished our "Dreams"
Because our life is a reflection of our "Soul". Remember you are your own "Creator" of your life's "Path". So don't blame the "World" if you say,
I Can't, and never "Try".

This Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Hard to believe, but it’s nearly time for kids throughout Your Region 8 to head back to school. It’s also time to help Stuff the Bus.Once again, KAIT will be partnering with the Jonesboro Radio Group, Crowley’s Ridge Development Council and the United Way to collect school supplies for kids in need.

The event began in 2005 with just two schools participating. This year’s event will benefit 24 area schools in 8 counties. You can drop off your school supply or monetary donations at the following Walmart stores listed below.

Jonesboro—Parker Road
Newport
Paragould
Pocahontas
Trumann
Walnut Ridge
Wynne
All donations will help school children in your area. If you are unable to make it Saturday, you can drop off school supply donations at United Way of Northeast Arkansas, 407 Union in Jonesboro, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until August 10.

"My back Window"

As I sit down and start writing I look
out my back window.I look out and I can see inside other people's back windows. It's impossible for me to help but notice the interest of my neighbors.
There are many children living in
these homes.I don't know their names. There's a helpless baby who "Cries"
all day, for he is shaken, and beaten
by a angry nanny who treats him like a rag doll.

I see a teenage girl covering
her head screaming please mommy don't hit me no more.
I see a little boy with a bruised
Face writing on a window
Please help me!!!.

I sometimes wonder if our neighbors ever have an interest in us or our shady sides. Something we don't show to the world. I wonder do they love, pity, or condemn us?. What words do they speak!!. Do they forget who may be watching us from their back windows, with clearer eyes.

Could it be a Women with a pen in her hand who continues to write what she see's from her "Back Window".

Millions of workers mostly women struggle to make ends meet on minimum wage. At just $7.25 an hour, or roughly $14,500 per year, the current federal minimum wage hasn't been raised in THREE YEARS and is leaving working families in poverty.

The Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2012 would gradually raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $9.80 per hour, increase the tipped minimum cash wage from $2.13 per hour to 70 percent of the minimum wage, and index the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation. Increasing the minimum wage and tipped minimum wage are key steps toward fair pay for women.

Here are the facts!!!
Women represent nearly two-thirds of minimum wage workers.
A woman working full-time, year round at the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour earns just $15,000 – more than $3,000 below the poverty line for a family of three.

The federal minimum cash wage for tipped workers has been $2.13 per hour for 20 years. Women are nearly two-thirds of workers in tipped occupations. Raising the minimum wage to $9.80 per hour would boost earnings for more than 28 million workers, nearly 55 percent of them women, and help close the wage gap.

The "Woman" in the "Mirror".

I see a woman in the mirror she is always wondering who she really is. All she sees is past and her pain. Now she wants to make her life "Happy" & "Different" then from her past. She thinks that she is hurting other people by shutting them out.

Now she feels all alone and wants to tell everybody how she feels, but does not realize they tend to be so consumed with there own lives that they never stop to think yes "She" does matter.

Is there a way out? or an eraser to wipe away the past and stop the pain in the future.
The "Mirrors" reflection tells her Yes!!! . There is a way to change your future , you must accept that your past is behind you, and move forward to understand your future.

The future is important because it will "Define" who you are.
Remember when looking for advice you will not like nor except what some have to say, but remember you reached out for a reason. Sometimes in life it's hard to be "Nice" & "Mean" both.
So I say compromise.

I see a "Woman" in the mirror who has been "Happy" but one who has now lost her "Way".
Now will she "Choose" for her life to be different, Or will she stand in front of the, "Mirror" and still
ask "Questions" with the same answers only she knows.

My Back Window

As I sit working at my back window,
I look out and see other people's back windows,
and it is quite impossible for me to help but notice
the interest in my neighbors.

i don't know none of their names.
The helpless baby who roars all day
for he is shaken, spanked, by a angry nanny
who treats him like a rag doll.
I pity that little neighbor,
and believe he wont stand it long
for I see him double up his tiny hands,
and swing away at nothing,
I sometimes wonder if our neighbors,
ever have an interest in us or our shady side,
something we don't show to the world.
If they love, pity, or condemn us?
What words do they speak,
Do they forget who may be watching
from their back windows,with clearer eyes.
Could it be a Women with a pen in her hand
who continues to write what she see's from her,

I once was a  Mother, of two children i had.
My Love was unconditional we never felt sad.
I held there heads up when they needed to cry.
Now as i age there lives pass me by.

My children soon notice how much i forget.
I tell my two children im not giving up yet.
Soon you will see your names i will call.
then you will say Mom! you remembered it all.


Still lost and confused there decisions
done made, no memories i have of where
i will stay. They packed me a bag to start
out my day. Mom you have Alzheimers
we sent you away.

i got something to say.
I wont forget and promise not to roam,

go Home.
