Parent's teach children values.

As parents we try to provide our children with the nurturing, love and support that they will need to grow in positive ways in life. Sometimes this leads to trying to keep our children happy by giving them all they ask for just to keep them satisfied and never doing without.Yes we all want our children to be happy. Always laughing and smiling without a care in the world. But remember our world is not a Magical Fantasy.

Teach your children the values in life. Because one day they will be rewarded as adults with self reliance and values for the things that are important to achieving true happiness and self-worth in there life and knowing these values were taught with guidance and love from parents who understood so it's never to late to, Parents continue teaching children values.

Halloween "vs" true Values.

This story is not intended for anyone in particular. What kind of values are we teaching our children. When we are saying its ok to spend $20 to $50 on a Halloween Costume that is only good for one night of fun.

Now what can $20 to $50 do
in today's economy.It can help pay a water bill it can also help buy groceries for a week. Or maybe be saved for that family Vacation next summer together. What happened to making homemade costumes?. Has Halloween become a competition on who has the best costume or most expensive.

Yes I believe it has and with today's economy one never knows when that rainy day will come. What happens when you get laid off from your Job.
Or maybe you or your children need medicine and can't afford it.

My point is when your child asks you, Mom or Dad I need $30 for a school trip and your reply is! Well we just don't have it. Will they or you remember you just spent $20 to $50 on a Halloween Costume for a popularity contest instead of saving it.

Tell me how can one explain to a child that the values in life are just spend it because its only money and if we need money we can Rob Peter to pay Paul.
That's another story in itself.
I say the values we teach our children are what they grow up to remember that's its ok to spend money we can't afford to spend.

The Value of a Dollar

Its sad to say that the amount on a dollar has no value anymore.I know i was very disappointed to learn that if a family of 5 makes $1.00 over $2150.00 they are not allowed to receive Snap better know as Foodstamps to us.
Well i know a Family of 5 and she and her husband both work to pay the bills and to put food on there table.There Gross pay is $298.00 each before taxes. So the amount they have to turn in to DHS office is $596.00 a week which is times by 4.5 weeks = $2682.00. Now the catch they own there home, They still have house ins.All utilities and Property taxes, Real estate taxes. They only own one car to save on money. The oldest babysits to save on money. Now they added up there bills and they still made to much to apply for Foodstamps.
Now it gets worse they attend Walnut Ridge School and they raised there lunches again. Now its $1.75 per child that dont meet low income guidelines. So even if they get reduced meals the cost is still $4.50 for the 5 children which still is $18.00 a week, and $81.00 a Month. Now you tell me How fair is our Goverment and our faith in the 1$ bill.

My Children Never Doubt

There are times in my Life where i doubt alot of things from my Past and Future.
I love my children but inside myself is a place where I live all alone.
There are times when i wanted to run away.
So i need my children to know and treasure the values
i have always instilled upon them.
I will consider my life has been worth living
and they have always been my Destiny.

 So i want to say to them, For all the times i didnt listen.
" My ears will always hear you"
If there was a time i didnt Hug you.
" My arms are always open for you "
If there ever was a time i didnt tell you i Love you.
 "I Loved you then, i still Love you Forever"
A Mothers Love should never be challenged
 for her Childrens or by her Children.

So my Children please always remember this.
I as your Mother will always be with you.
I will be the whisper you hear in the dead of the night.
I will be the hug you feel from a gust of wind.
I will be the sun shinning on your face
to always make you smile.

Remember my Children.
I as your Mother live always inside your laughter
and to catch all your teardrops, nothing on earth can
separate you from me.
Not time, not space not even death!
