Arron Schaffhausen from, River Falls Wisconsin turned himself in to authorities after his three young daughters were found dead in their home Tuesday, July,10,2012.
MyFoxTwinCities.com reports the father, identified as 34-year-old Aaron Schaffhausen, was taken into custody in connection with the deaths of his three girls, ages 5 to 11.
Police arrived to find the bodies of Amara, Sophie and Cea Schaffhausen, ages 5 to 11. Police reported the smell of gas in the home, but did not identify the cause of Death.
The girls' mother, who was away from the home at the time, reportedly called police saying she was concerned over statements the children's father had made.
When police arrived at the home, they say they smelled a strong odor of gas before discovering the bodies. The children's father was the only other person in the home.
Though the bodies have not been officially identified, MyFoxTwinCities.com reports authorities say they match the description of the three sisters.
